
The match between Besiktas and Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Europa League will be moved from Turkey to Hungary. Initially, the match was supposed to take place at Besiktas Stadium in Istanbul, however, the Turkish authorities previously made a decision not to allow it to be held. Now the game will take place at Nagyerdei Stadium in Debrecen.
Besiktas confirmed that Hungary is the only country that agreed to host the match. The match will be played without spectators according to the decision of Hungarian authorities.
According to Reuters, at least five people were injured in hooligan attacks involving supporters of the Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv, which suffered a 0:5 defeat to Ajax. UEFA stated that the group stage match of the Europa League between Besiktas and Maccabi Tel Aviv, scheduled for November 28, will take place on neutral ground in Hungary.
