Buenos Aires, Dec. 8 (NA) — The Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, stated today that the European Union is preparing to start a war with Russia in 2030, Moscow media reported.
"Dark clouds are gathering over Europe. Brussels is preparing for war with Russia, and there is already a scheduled date for the start of hostilities: 2030," the politician wrote on his social networks.
According to his words, "the stated objective of the rearmament program initiated by Brussels" is to prepare for an armed conflict.
Orbán specified that the same year is the deadline for the accelerated accession process of Ukraine to the European Union, according to a publication by RT that the Argentine News Agency picks up in its usual tour of international headlines.
"Meanwhile, the treaty of the community bloc states that 'in the event of an armed attack against the territory of one of the Member States, the other Member States shall be obliged to render all the assistance in their power to that State,'" he pointed out.
"Therefore, the accession to the EU of a Ukraine at war would cause an immediate war," he wrote.

He continued to speak about elections in his country n "The parliamentary elections to be held in Hungary in 2026 could be the last in which we can really decide on the issue of war and peace," Orbán continued.
"If we make a bad decision in 2026, in the next elections, in 2030, it will be too late to correct it. Whoever wants peace, let them join us!" he emphasized.
